As both a children’s author and illustrator, I understand the unique relationship between words and pictures. Every character, expression, composition, and visual detail is carefully crafted to support the story, engage young readers, and create meaningful moments of discovery.
My background combines more than 30 years of professional illustration, graphic design, multimedia production, and visual storytelling with extensive experience in early childhood development and educational content creation. Through my work with Vanderbilt University’s IRIS Center, I have helped create nationally recognized learning resources designed to support how children learn, process information, and engage with visual content. This experience provides valuable insight into age-appropriate communication, developmental stages, attention span, visual literacy, and learner engagement.
In addition, my work creating educational programs, children’s media, songs, interactive experiences, and family-focused learning activities through Positive RePercussions and Big E! Media Publishing has strengthened my understanding of how storytelling, creativity, and play can support both entertainment and learning.
